Hi everyone!
I'm carring on with sharing neon shades with you.  Yup, I need to cheer me up (yesterday we have watched Studio Ghibli's "When Marnie was there", and I've cried my heart out!), but I'd like to show you as much neon as possible before August ends. So, keep calm and put your sunglasses on!

Prosegue la mia maratona neon, ché qui c'è bisogno di tirarci su il morale (ho visto ieri sera il film "Quando c'era Marnie" dello Studio Ghibli e sul finale ho pianto a dirotto. Oggi è l'ultimo giorno di programmazione, sicché...). Vorrei mostrarvene il più possibile prima che finisca Agosto, così oggi ci dopiamo con questo bel rosa Barbie.

Today it's raining cats and dogs, but don't worry: I have a sunny nail art to share with you. 

Every crew needs someone to look after the ship and fixes it up. Franky is the ship's carpenter, he's a  naff guy who looks like Ace Ventura (but he doesn't talk with animals), he's the Franky Family boss and he's a self-made cyborg...
Franky's story is a little bit complicated and I'll try to cut a long story short. He was raised by Tom, a shipwright who secretly holds the plans for a devastating ancient weapon. After Tom's execution, Franky suffers severe injuries and he only survives turning himself into a cola-powered cyborg with super-human strength. 
Do not judge a book by his cover. He joins the Mugiwara crew after  getting Nico Robin back from the World Government. He's battle cry is a out loud screamed «Super!». 

Oggi è lunedì e cerco un altro metro per mimetizzarmi in questa città e piove che la manda giù. Ci vuole proprio una bella nail art estiva, che ci porti un filo di sole. Senza caldo, possibilmente.

Ogni ciurma che si rispetta ha bisogno qualcuno che si prenda cura della nave e si prodighi nelle riparazioni necessarie. Sulla Thousand Sunny questo è il compito di Franky, un trentacinquenne coatto senza speranza modellato su Ace Ventura (ma non comunica con gli animali), boss di una gang di accrocchi cosmici e cyborg fai da te...
La storia di Franky è complicata, cercherò di farla breve: è adottato da Tom, un uomo-pesce carpentiere che custodisce i piani per realizzare un'arma devastante. Dopo aver cercato di salvare Tom dal patibolo, Franky riporta delle ferite così gravi che è costretto a sostituire i pezzi andati con delle parti in acciaio, e già che si trovava, ha ben pensato di alimentarsi a cola...
Si aggiunge alla ciurma dopo aver sottratto Nico Robin dalle grinfie del Governo Mondiale. Il suo grido di battaglia è un «Super!!» urlato a squarciagola e anche se sembra pazzo, è molto più maturo di quello che sembra. Non si giudica un libro dalla copertina, dopotutto...

As I shown you in my facebook page, in the past few days I stumbled upon this tutorial of Beaching Nails, and it was love at the very first sight! I badly wanted replicate this gorgeous idea, so I took off any nail polish, I picked my markers up and I let the magic started!

Se vi è capitato di fare un salto sulla mia pagina facebook, vi sarete accorte di come io mi sia innamorata di questa tecnica. Sono incappata in questo tutorial della bravissima Beaching Nails e non ho sapute resistere alla tentazione di provare anch'io a giocare con i colori!

It's nice having a bank holiday on Monday! Because today is Rome's patron saint's festival, I would like to share with you a lovely nail polish I've bought last month. I've discovered claire's shop here in Rome (inside a mall out-of-town), so I cannot stop myself to buying something. A girl has her own bare necessities!

Che bellezza quando la festa del santo patrono cade di lunedì! Acquista un sapore del tutto speciale, non credete? Oggi vi mostro uno smalto che ho preso il mese scorso, quando in maniera del tutto casuale ho scoperto un negozio claire's all'interno di un centro commerciale in braccio alle stelle. Quando mi sarebbe ricapitato?

Claire's Rome (yes, I've bought it because its name!!) is a green polish with a pale silver shimmer, barely visible in photos (my bad!). It's a nice polish, with a good formula, that dries in a reasonable time but it chips very fast. Do not forget the top coat!
I was unsure about the finish, 'cause it seems to me like a frost, or, at least, this is what we have had if a shimmer and a frost would make a baby. Obviously, you will have brushstrokes. I would try this baby for stamping purposes, maybe it could be a nice discovery!

Claire's Rome (sì, l'ho comprato per il suo nome!!) è uno smalto verde con uno shimmer argento chiaro, appena visibile in foto. In realtà, questo è quello che avremmo qualora uno shimmer ed un frost decidessero di avere un bimbo, un qualcosa che si pone quasi a metà tra i due.
È uno smalto senza pecche, con una buona formula ed una discreta scorrevolezza. I segni del pennello sono assicurati. Asciuga in tempi ragionevoli, ma si sbecca fin troppo in fretta, sicché non dimenticate il top coat!
