Hi Ladies! Summer is running out, but days are still hot here in the sunny Italy. Today I want to share with you just a couple of shoots I've made the last week. You know, I like discover new nail polishes. Actually, I've already shown you some Astra nail polishes, do you remember? Astra is an italian brand located in Umbria (we call this region the heart of Italy, and it's a very beautiful place). Last Spring I've found the new Astra line in my neighbourhood retailer, but I didn't trust the white one, called Neige (how romantic!) because I was afraid it would have been too sheer for my taste. What. A. Mistake!

L'estate sta finendo, ma qui a Roma fa ancora un caldo belluino. Ecco perché oggi vi mostro un nuovissimo acquisto dal rinfrescante nome di Neige della linea Gel Expert di Astra.
Vi ho già mostrato alcuni smalti di questa azienda, ma per chi non la conoscesse, Astra è una marca nostrana che ha sede nel cuore della meravigliosa Umbria (che più passa il tempo e più scopro di amare). La scorsa primavera ho scovato la nuova linea Gel Expert nel negozio sotto casa, ma non ho preso il bianco tememndo che fosse troppo trasparente per i miei gusti (o calce, o niente!).

Ieri ho urtato il mignolo del piede contro una boiserie di legno massiccio e indovinate un po' chi ha avuto la peggio? Non credo sia rotto (lo piego e lo muovo) ma è bello gonfio e bluastro e mi tocca stare a riposo il più possibile.
L'umore, come potete immaginare, non è dei migliori, così ho deciso di coccolarmi un po' tirando fuori questo gioiellino, China Glaze In the Lime Light, dritto dritto dalla collezione INK del 2008. L'ho usato per le foglie delle mie rose neon, ricordate?

Hi, mates! Today I've a short post for you. My pc is almost dead, so I can't show you more than one, single photo. Anyway, Astra Glitter Party 03 is a deep blue based scattered holo. You could see two coats over my usual base coat, and one drop of top coat, to enhance the deepness of this lovely nail polish. Do you like it? I bet you do! Post superveloce, oggi, ché il mio portatile è quasi andato. Ecco perché la faccio breve e vi mostro solo una foto. Astra Glitter Party 03 è un olografico con effetto diffuso color blu notte. Quelle che vedete sono due passate dulla mia classica base, ed un goccio di top coat, così da far risaltare la profondità del colore.
Che ne pensate?

Happy Saturday, mates! Today is mid-August holiday and this is the first scheduled post I've managed before taking a stand by period from blogging. Don't worry about it, I'll be AFK just for ten days. As I said earlier, you could find some nice posts here on Chez Francine. I don't leave you alone, I just want have some fun doing something else with my hubby and family. Today I want to share with you something amazing. I've bought a pink nail polish I'm not a pink lady, but I like this baby pink (very 80's!). And it's an essence LE. It's pretty uncommon find the essence stand clean and full of products («I've seen things you people wouldn't believe»). And it's pretty uncommon discover that for once in her life essence calls a finish right!

Questo è il primo post programmato che vi terrà compagnia mentre mi godrò le meritate vacanze assieme a mio marito e alla famiglia. Tranquille, si tratta solo di una decina di giorni, ma non vi lascerò sole. So che sembra una minaccia. Forse lo è.
Ad ogni modo, oggi voglio condividere con voi un piccolo miracolo, anzi tre.
Primo, ho comprato uno smalto rosa confetto. Non sono un'amante del genere, ma questa tinta fa troppo anni '80 per non accalappiarmi.
Secondo, ho trovato lo stand della essence bello intonso, appena spacchettato e pieno di prodotti intatti.
Terzo, per una volta nella vita hanno azzeccato il finish giusto!!
Summer holidays are around the corner and I can't wait until the countdown was over. I'll be AFK for one week at least, but no panic! I've scheduled some posts and you could easily read them under the beach umbrella, sipping your favoured drink (mine is iced tea, FYI). The Holothon post is about an holo-top coat, this time. Oh, they said this actually IS a silver holo, but it is not. Trust me, even if I'm not a doctor.

Le vacanze estive sono dietro l'angolo e non credo riuscirò a resistere fino a domani. Starò in ferie per almeno una settimana, ma niente panico: ho programmato alcuni post che vi tengano compagnia in mia assenza, magari con una bella bibita ghiacciata accanto. A proposito. Non vi avanza mica un tè freddo?
Oggi vi mostro un top coat olografico. Oh, me l'hanno venduto come smalto olografico fatto e finito, ma così non è. È un top coat. A prova d'errore.

Happy Friday, Ladies! In the past few days I rediscovered Guns'N'Roses songs and I'm still singing their greatest hits such Don't Cry and Paradise City. I'm pretty sure my neighbours are thinking I'm gonna crazy for the heatwave, but who cares? I sing in tune, at least! Today's holo is related to an italian legend about Saint Lawrence martyrdom. Because he was burned under Valerianus persecution, in August 10th 258 AD, the meteor shower of Perseids we can see in the sky in these days are Saint Lawrence tears. And if you make a wish, maybe it will come true!

Un paio di giorni fa ho riscoperto con piacere i Guns'N'Roses e adesso canticchio garrula come un fringuello Don't Cry, Paradise City e gli altri classiconi. I miei vicini penseranno che io sia ammattita per via del caldo, ma poco male. Almeno sono intonata.
L'olografico del giorno è legato a doppio giro alle stelle cadenti di San Lorenzo. Siccome Lorenzo fu martirizzato sulla graticola durante le persecuzioni di Valeriano, la leggenda racocnta che le stelle cadenti che vediamo in questo periodo - lo sciame delle Perseidi - siano le lacrime del santo. Che sia vero o no, è sempre bello alzare lo sguardo a caccia di una stella cadente. Dovesse avverarsi qualche desiderio...
