Oggi voglio mostrarvi una nail art che ho realizzato per un gruppo di Facebook, Hobby Polish Bloggers (HBP per gli amici). Ogni mese viene proposto un tema, e quello per Agosto era il neon.

I've been busy in the last two days. I didn't have a big job to accomplish or something like this; I just have had too many things to do in only 48 hours. It's a very hot summer and we can barely sleep, and we must switch off the air-conditioning from time to time. This shall be another sultry night here in Rome. I love summer but I just would want a break from the extreme heat. Today (actually, tonight) it's time to shout "Anchors away!" one more time. Let's meet the lovely and mysterious Nico Robin.
I like buying nail polishes during my trip around the world. Yup, instead boule-de-neige or typical (and cheap) souvenir you could find everywhere, I purchased them! I discovered P2 Cosmetics when I visited Berlin, in May 2011 (I love dm and Ihr Platz!). I purchased a pair of bottles, this is the first one I want to show you. It's Lust and it comes from a 2011 spring LE called into Lace.
Che tipo di souvenir comprerà mai una smaltara? Boccette di smalto, ovvio, ché alcune marche non arrivano mica qui da noi. Tipo la P2 Cosmetics, sbarcata alla fine dello scorso anno, ok; ma nel lontano 2011, quando ho visitato Berlino, se volevi una delle loro boccette dovevi recarti da dm o Ihr Platz (drugstore adorabili), da cui ho portato a casa questo smaltino. Lui è Lace della collezione into Lace della primavera 2011.
Hi, guys! How are you? Here in Rome it's pretty hot, and I'm afraid July shall be more hot. I hope there will be more sunny days than last year, because summer makes me happy and because I need natural light for take some (decent) pictures of our beloved holos!

Fa un caldo belluino qui a Roma e ho paura che andrà peggiorando sempre di più! Speriamo che Luglio sia decisamente più soleggiato dello scorso anno, ché le belle giornate mi rendono allegra (anche se fiacca) e c'è busogno del sole per far brillare al meglio i nostri adorati smalti olografici!
A-England Lady of the Lake is a scattered holo with a violet base. Could you see how it's sparkling? I'm wearing two coats over my base coat (from KIKO, FYI) and the top coat. I don't wear top coat usually, 'cause I don't like add another step, but in this case it's necessary, because top coat gives deepness to scattered holos. It dries in a blink of the eye and it's simply gorgeous. I've chosen this shade because its name: the Lady of the Lake is the fairy that abducted baby Lancelot and bringed him up until he reached 18 years old. Then, on the Saint John day, she goes along with Lancelot to the King Arthur's court (I don't remember if the court was in Tintagel or Caraduel...). Saint John Day was two days ao, and I cannot picked anything else. I know, I've been lucky because Lady of the Lake has such a lovely shade!! Adina has a very good taste creating his nail polish!
A-England Lady of the Lake è un smalto olografico ad effetto diffuso, a base viola. Vedete quant'è luminoso? In queste foto lo indosso sopra la mia classica base Kiko, due passate e passa la paura. C'è anche il top coat, perché i diffusi hanno bisogno di qualcosa che metta in risalto la loro profondità.
Ho scelto questo smalto per via del nome. La Dama del lago è la creatura fatata che rapisce ed alleva Lancillotto finché il ragazzo non raggiunge i diciotto anni. A quel punto, visto che Lancillotto vuole diventare un cavaliere, il giorno di San Giovanni lo scorta lei stessa alla corte di Re Artù (Caraduel? Tintagel? Boh...). Siccome San Giovanni è stato due giorni fa, non potevo scegliere nessun altro smalto, giusto?
Sì, ok, sono stata fortunata: Adina ha buon gusto e finora non c'è stato un solo smalto che non mi sia piaciuto!

Happy Sunday, mates! Today I have two nail polishes to share with you for our weekly Finishpedia. It's our 22nd post about finishes and we are going to discover the scattered holographic one. What's a scattered holo? It's the opposite of linear holo: the holo particles floating over your nails and they not create a straight raibow lines. It's like seeing a foggy day in the holo world. Because we have had a bad weather, this weekend, and because many of my mates have chosen to share A-England's scattered holos, I've had to change my mind and I've chosen to show you two polishes I bought last summer from an italian brand, Sky Kisses. I'm talking about Sky Kisses HOLOSKY #01 Ocean and #10 Constellation.

Per il penultimo appuntamento con la Finishpedia scende in campo l'altra faccia dell'universo olografico, quella diffusa.
Di che diamine sto parlando?
Sono quegli smalti innegabilmente olografici che non disegnano un arcobaleno ben definito sulle unghie, ma hanno un aspetto più sparso. Come una giornata nebbiosa nell'allegro e coloratissimo mondo degli holo.
Visto che qui il sole ha giocato a nascondino, e visto che buona parte delle mie compagne hanno scelto di schierare in campo uno smalto A-England, ho dovuto cambiare idea strada facendo. Sicché, eccovi due cucciolotti made in Italy che ho comprato la scorsa estate: Sky Kisses HOLOSKY #01 Ocean e #10 Constellation.

Sky Kisses HOLOSKY #01 Ocean is a medium blue scattered holo I've gotten as a present from my nail pal Angela. It's the 5 ml version of Astra Holo 703, a beautiful scattered blue from 2012 Astra's holo collection. The base it's so deep, like a sea where spend some hours on scuba diving. Nice formula, selfe-levelling, everlasting, it dries in a blink of the eye and doesn't need a specific base.
Sky Kisses HOLOSKY #01 Ocean è un olografico diffuso che mi ha regalato la mia amica Angela un paio di anni fa. È la versione da 5ml di Astra Holo 703, che è uscito nell'ormai lontano 2012.
Formula da sogno, scorrevole, autolivellante, asciuga in un lampo e dura nonstante tutto. Ma la parte che preferisco di questo piccoletto è la profondità del colore di base, blu come un mare in cui immergersi per ore e ore e ore...
Sky Kisses HOLOSKY #10 Constellation is a medium purple scattered holo, the 5ml version of Astra Holo 708. I'm not a purple fan, but this guy is lovely enough to change my mind. Because it's a purple with a big hint of blue. Look at the base. How deep is it?

Which side are you on? The linear or the scattered one? The blue or the purple one? I love them both, because linear holos are like a sunny and glory day that shines on our memories; the scattered ones are more delicate, like a romantic foggy day (how poetic am I, today?!). Confesso di amare entrambi (che brava mammina, sarei!), perché i lineari sono come una bella giornata di sole, i diffusi come una romantica giornata nebbiosa (quanta, quanta poesia!).
Quanto al colore, Blau über alles!, come dicono in Germania.
