I've been busy in the last two days. I didn't have a big job to accomplish or something like this; I just have had too many things to do in only 48 hours. It's a very hot summer and we can barely sleep, and we must switch off the air-conditioning from time to time. This shall be another sultry night here in Rome. I love summer but I just would want a break from the extreme heat.
Today (actually, tonight) it's time to shout "Anchors away!" one more time. Let's meet the lovely and mysterious Nico Robin.

Happy Monday!!
It's time to take a look at the starry sky above our heads! This month's constellation is the Cancer (that means crab in Latin), a medium-size constellation, but is the dimmest among Zodiac. Its stars are rather faint but it contains some solar sistems and the most famous open cluster of the nother Emisphere: Praesepe (M44), the manger, or the Beehive.
According to greek mythology, there was a gigantic crab Karkinos, that bit Hercules while he was fighting the many-headed Hydra. Hercules crushed it and the goddes Hera, who has sent Karkinos against Hercules place the crab among the stars.

Oggi tocca alla Costellazione del Cancro, la meno visibile di tutto lo Zodiaco, ma la più ricca di corpi interessanti per gli astronomi, che vi hanno trovato alcuni sistemi solari (quello di Cancri 55 possiede un pianeta simile alla Terra) ed il più fmaoso ammasso stellare aperto di tutto l'emisfero settentrionale: Praesepe o l'Alveare (M 44).
Secondo la mitologia greca, hera invio un granchio gigantesco contro Ercole, intento a pestare di brutto brutto l'Idra di Lerna. Purtroppo per il granchio, Ercole lo fece a pezzi pestandolo ben bene, ma Hera volle ringraziare la creatura e lo pose tra le stelle.

I think I've begun my pink period, or at least June shall be a pink month! As you can see, I've made some spring cleaning on my blog. Better late than never. I didn't expect it was so stressful managin' a brand new template. I hope you like it, even it's a little bit too pink for my taste. Let me know what you think about it!

Credo di essere appena entrata nel mio periodo rosa, o almeno, Giugno sarà un mese rosa a più non posso (aiuto!). Ho fatto qualche cambiamento qua e là. Non ricordavo quanto fosse stressante lavorare ad un template nuovo di zecca (e alcune cose sono ancora da sistemare!), ma era necessario. Sì, è un po' rosa. Forse troppo. Voi che ne dite?
Oggi, tanto per non smentirci, passiamo ai fiori rosa per eccellenza: rose, caprifogli e peonie.

I've made two look.
The first one is dedicated to roses. Roses, the whitest ones, are my favourite flowers. My wedding bouquet was made by avalanches roses and it was so pretty I regret throwing away.
I started with two coats of P2 Leather Matte polish #20 Rock Steady, which is a geranium pink textured nail polishes. I stamped some rose patterns from MoYou London Mother Nature #11, with essence StampMe! white.

Non riuscivo a decidermi, così ho creato due manicure. La prima è dedicata alla rosa, uno dei miei fiori preferiti. Il mio bouquet era compost per intero da rose avalanche e foglie di edera, mi è dispiaciuto doverlo lanciare alle invitate!

Because Mother Nature #11 has a strange flower pattern too, I thought it could work for peonies too. What do you think about it? I'm not sure this stamping could represent a peony pattern, but, alas, it's nice, don't you agree?
E poiché sulla stessa plate c'è un disegno di un fiore misterioso (?), ho pensato potesse andare per le peonie. Che ne pensate? Ok, non saranno delle peonie peonie, ma è lo stesso un disegno carino, no?

Happy Tuesday! How are you? This afternoon we have a lovely sun shining into a deep blue sky. Today is the 2768th anniversary of Rome and I would share with you my first stamping attempt.
2768 ab Urbe Condita. I festeggiamenti in città prevedono una Notte Bianca lungo i Fori. La salterò, ché a me la folla non piace proprio, ma non potevo esimermi dal mostrarvi il mio primo (riuscito) tentativo di stamping.
I used ILNP Neon Rosebud as a base, because Roma's shade are gold and red. Gold for the Tiber's golden waters, and red was the colour of emperors in ancient Rome. Neon Rosebud was the right choice.
My husband gave me some MoYou London plates as Easter present. I've chosen to start with MoYou Pro XL 07 and using essenc stamp me! white as stamping polish.

Mi serviva qualcosa di rosso e dorato, i colori di Roma - il colore degli imperatori e del potere in generale il primo, e quello del biondo Tevere il secondo. ILNP Neon Rosebud era la scelta giusta!

I know I have to make some practice, but it was SO easy and SO neat. Like shooting to a sitting duck. I love the plates, I love the stamper (I picked the rectangular one). They made my stamping life effortless, and even a simple crème works very well.

C'è ancora un bel po' di pratica da fare, ma è stato tutto così facile e così pulito da commuovermi, quasi. Adoro le matrici, adoro il tampone (ho preso quello rettangolare), rendono la vita una passeggiata. Persino le semplici lacche funzionano che è una meraviglia! E adesso che ho preso il via... affari vostri!!

In questa semplice nail art ho messo tutto il mio amore per Roma. Qui è dove sono nata, dove sono cresciuta, dove affondano le mie radici (anche se il mio sangue è un miscuglio di italico lignaggio). Potrei vivere ovunque, ma soffrirei terribilmente di nostalgia...
