Halloween is here!
You know, Halloween is not a traditional italian holiday, but it's always been a charming tradition. My studies are focused on medieval folklore, afterall. and I really enjoy to discover tradions that have roots in latin lore. Don't you know that even in Rome there wre a commemoration for Pomona, the goddes of crop, and for dearly departed, Parentalia?

Ok, non sarà una tradizione tipicamente italiana, ma ne sono sempre stata affascinata. D'altrocanto, una parte dei miei studi universitari riguardava anche il folcklore europeo e mi piace da matti immergermi nelle tradizioni che affondano le loro radici nella cultura latina. Sai che nell'antica Roma si festeggiava la dea delle messi, Pomona, e una versione classica delle festa dei morti, le Parentalia?

C'est Halloween et est-tu prête pour le fêter ? Je ne sais pas si Halloween est devenue une fête laïque en France, mais ici on a va à la disco ou on frappe porte-à-porte en criant "des bonbons ou un mauvais sort !". Je suis fascinée par ces traditions de l’étranger qui ont origine chez les romains, car mes études à l'Université avaient le folklore comme sujet. Sais-tu que en Italie aussi il y a des régions qui fêtent Halloween dans la même façon (et ils ne l'appellent pas Halloween !) et que pendant l'empire romain on fêtait la déesse Pomona et les ancêtres dans ces jours-ci ? 

There's many tradition in Italy very closed to Halloween, in souther and northern both. I like this time of the year, even if in Italy there's no room for the trick or treat game, in my humble opinion.
Anyway, I like playing with Halloween tradition and making scary manicures! This one is the latest for this year (next one I'll be ready since October 1st, I promise!) and I think is the scariest of all!
I've seen this nail art on Nails by Cambria's Instagram account, and I followed her clever tutorial step by step.
It's easy, but I must practise with acrylics.

Ci sono molte tradizioni simili ad Halloween, sia al nord che al sud. Mi piace questo periodo dell'anno, anche se, secondo me, non ha molto senso andare di casa in casa gridando "dolcetto o scherzetto?".
Ad ogni modo, mi piace farmi prendere la mano dal clima di terrore che accompagna Halloween per creare nuove nail art a tema (l'anno prossimo sarò pronta dal 1 Ottobre, giuro!), e quella di oggi è la più terrificante di tutte. Ho preso spunto dal tutorial che Nails by Cambria ha postato sul suo account di Instagram. È più semplice di quanto sembri, anche se devo fare un (bel) po' di pratica con gli acrilici.

Je pense qu'on n'a pas de raison pour crier "des bonbons ou un mauvais sort", car il ne s'agit pas d'une tradition italienne, mais, hélas!, j'aime suivre la vague d'Halloween et créer des nouvelles nail art. Je te promis que l'année prochaine je serai prête à partir du premier jour d'Octobre !
La manucure d'aujourd'hui c'est la plus terrifiante que j'avais jamais fait !

Il s'agit d'un manucure très facile à faire, mais je dois prendre beaucoup de confiance avec les peintures acryliques...

I started with two coats of a yellow nail polish, and then I've made a vertical gradient with a green polish. I created the eyes with the black acrylic paint and I've added a white dot for the pupil.
Scary, it isn't?

Ho steso due mani di uno smalto giallo molto acceso. Quindi ho realizzato una gradient verticale con un bel verde vivo ed ho creato gli occhi (del male) con i colori acrilici (nero per il contorno e bianco per la pupilla).
Paura, eh?
Eccoto la lista dei prodotti usati:

J'ai utilisé deux couches d'un vernis jaune très vif, et ensuite j'ai fait une gradient vertical avec le vert brillant. J'ai donc dessiné les yeux avec la peinture acrylique, en ajoutant le blanc pour la pupille.
On s'agit d'un manucure terrifiante, n'est-ce pas ?
