As I shown you in my facebook page, in the past few days I stumbled upon this tutorial of Beaching Nails, and it was love at the very first sight! I badly wanted replicate this gorgeous idea, so I took off any nail polish, I picked my markers up and I let the magic started!

Gradients are fabulous background for stamping. When you're bored or you nail art is chipped, you could easily reloaded your manicure in few minutes. Last month I purchased some plates from Born Pretty Store, and I've tried how this pattern looks.

Do you remember my Larkspur gradient I've shown you yesterday? I used it as the base for this lovely nail art. The optical pattern comes from Born Pretty Store BP 21. I've used KIKO Quick Dry 819 for stamping and it worked nicely. It turns dark charcoal gray, but it's okay. I sealed my nail art with the best matte top coat ever, Deborah Mat Effect top coat.
Ricordate la gradient che vi ho mostrato ieri? L'ho usata come base per questo disegno geometrico. La matrice è la BP21 di Born Pretty Store. Ho usato KIKO Quick Dry 819 per stampare e funziona discretamente. Diventa grigio antracite, ma va benissimo così. Ho sigillato il tutto con il miglior top coat matte di sempre, Deborah Mat Effect top coat.
I'm really impressed by Born Pretty plates. They are weel carved and very low-coast. I think I'll buy tons of these plates, in the future.

Today I'm super excited because I'll joining the swimming pool! I swam for few years, and now it's time to start again with good habits! This morning while I was sipping my first coffee, I found myself staring at my backpack (with my towelling robe, my swimming suit, my swim cap, my rubber slippers etc), like if I was Nanase Haruka from Free! I'm really looking forward for this evening!

Spero scuserete la mia assenza, ma le ultime settimane sono state belle pienotte ed ho finito col trascurare (con dolore) il blog. Purtroppo, quando la Vita chiama, c'è poco da fare se non rispondere. E di corsa pure!
La situazione è rientrata (più o meno) nella norma, così oggi posso condividere con voi un'altra nail art su ONEPIECE. Con solo una settimana di ritardo (ecchessaramai?), passiamo al personaggio del mese: Sanji Gambanera.

Sanji is a 19 years old cook who knows how it feels to starve from first hand experience, so he will never refuse someone a meal. Sanji has a strong sense of chivalry, because of which, he will never harm a woman, even if he dies. He loves women above all and he's always ready to satisfied Nami's and Robin's needs (even when they do not need anything...).
He's a strong rivalry with Zoro (he calls the swordman "marimo", because Zoro's short hair reminds him the seaweed), and he's one of the smartest men of Strawhat Crew.
He joins Rufy to find the All Blue, a legendary sea, containing every kind of fish in the world. He's a cook, afterall.

I took inspiration from Sanji's strongest dream (the All Blue one, not to become the best prince ever!) and I've created this manicure with some dry water marble stickers.
I started mixed randomly Deborah gel Effect #24 Optical White, Rimmel London Salon Pro 618 Little Boy Blue and Rimmel London Salon Pro 651 I Want It! over a plastic sheet. I let my desing dry. Using dry water marble stickers is easy and it allows more control than a simple water marble. Success guaranteed! The only flaw I had using this technique is the thickness of the stickers I made.

Questa tecnica è molto più semplice della classica water marble e garantisce un risultato migliore. L'unica difficoltà che ho incontrato è lo spessore dell'adesivo che si ottiene, e spesso non è facile farlo aderire alle unghie.
Avete provato questa tecnica? Suggerimenti? Consigli? Trucchetti?

Siccome ho un mal di testa d'antologia, portatevi la sciarpa di lana, ché ce ne andiamo a sbirciare la Costellazione dell'Ariete, il segno più testardo dello Zodiaco. Discutere con un Ariete è tempo perso. Parlerete per ore, e ore e ore per poi ritrovarvi al punto di partenza...

Aries people are often optimistic person (if you do what tehy say, of course), assertive kind and they have a pretty clear idea about what to do or not to do. It's strange meet an hesitant Aries (they are Fire Cardinal, after all). They are precious friends, if you're a patient people (I'm not). They are amazing promoters (of someone else life), but, sometimes, they can't slow down and change their path, and they end with a CRASH!! But, don't worry about them: their horns will protect them, 'cause are Aries, after all.

I started with two coats of deBBY gel play #36 (a nude crème), one the new debby's palette for the spring/summer 2015. I used two coats. It's glossy and the brush is HUGE. It's not easy to manage, but I think I need some practice.
Then I applied Melissa D195, a lace pattern water decals set. I thought they was too hard to use ('cause I'm clumsy!), but they are not. I fixed mymanicure with a single coat of Deborah Mat Effect Top Coat, but it made some mess. Never mind. This pattern reminds me something like a creased petticoat waiting on the floor while you do you know what...
Uhm. Maybe Aries borns are not the only naughtiest here...

Ho steso due mani di deBBY gel play #36 (lacca nude), uno dei nuovi colori per l'estate 2015. È lucido come promesso sulla boccetta, ed anche il pennello è MAXI come promesso. Forse troppo, ma ninete che un po' di pratica non possa sistemare.

Oggi torno a pastrocchiare con le mie amiche del Pattern Wednesday! Poiché è il primo di Aprile, la cara Rebenice ci ha chiesto se volessimo giocherellare con un tema... pescioso, ed ecco qui alcuni pesci rossi tra le onde. Guardateli, non sono semplicemente adorabili?

I used Deborah Gel Effect 39 Marshmellow Blue as a base coat (I've shown it yesterday). Then I pick my dotting tool and Astra Gel Expert#22 Universe Blue and I've drawn some (kind of) waves. Using Astra Gel Expert #16 Boudoir, I make these little goldfishes. I added a coat of Deborah Mat Effect Top Coat and I've done.
Ho usato Deborah Gel Effect 39 Marshmellow Blue come base (quello che vi ho mostrato ieri). Quindi, con un dotting tool e Astra Gel Expert#22 Universe Blue ho disegnato delle (specie di) onde, mentre con Astra Gel Expert #16 Boudoir, ho realizzato i pesciolini. Un velo di Mat Effect Top Coat, sempre di Deborah, ed il gioco è fatto.

Il mio si chiamava Arturo (sì, come Re Artù) e la sua boccia era sulla lavatrice, nel bagno. E ad ogni centrifuga lui saltava, saltava, saltava fuori come Free Willie ante litteram. Ecco. Non fatelo mai. Per favore, non piazzate i pesci rossi sulla lavatrice.
A parte questa triste storia, mi sono divertita a giocherellare con le mie amichette. Spero di riuscire a partecipare più spesso in futuro, impegni permettendo!

There's a special offer, last week, so I purchased this little baby and another shade (a light green one, FYI) with a matte top coat. Yup, they are sold together! I was looking for a decente mat top coat until two weeks ago, and now I have two brand new bottles!

La linea gel effect di Deborah Milano si arricchisce di altre nuovissime colorazioni, molto estive e accattivanti. Deborah Milano Gel Effect #39 Marshmellow Sky is a light blue crème. It's a nice shade, like the spring sky, without any clouds. Actually, it reminds me the blue of swimming pool's flow tiles. I like it!
I was a little bit worried for the maxibrush advertise on the bottle (it's very very maxi indeed!), but after some attempts I can manage easily. This nail polish dries very fast and it self levelling. The formula runs nicely over your nails and you do not have to use a particular base coat. I didn't use any top coat because it's very shiny, but I recommend a coat of, to preserve your nail polish life.

I love wear pastel shades at the very beginning of Spring, because they are perfect for Easter time, in my humble opinion. They are very comfortable, the perfect way to translate from frosty winter to warmer summer. I need colours in my life. And I need them because last year we have had a horrible rain-y summer.

Qual è secondo voi il colore, o l'insieme di colori, che fa subito Primavera?
Adoro indossare toni pastello all'inizio della primavera, li trovo perfetti per la Pasqua. In più, sono rasserenanti ed un ottimo modo per passare dal grigiore dei cieli invernali al sole intenso dell'estate. Sì, ho un bisogno arretrato (e disperatissimo) di sole e colori, visto che l'estate scorsa è stata piovosa oltre ogni dire!

Aquarius is is one of the oldest of the recognized constellations along the zodiac and his constellation lies between Capriconus and Pisces. It's identified with Ganymede, the young son of Trojan king Tros, who was taken to Mount Olympus by Zeus to act as cup-carrier to the gods.
Aquarius is the Air's(element) Fixed (quality). A Fixed Sign lies in the middle of a season and has stabilization, determination, depth and persistence. She's powerful and often achieve much more that other Quality, but she's often inflexible, rigid, stubborn.
Aquarius people are cool, logical, innovator, unselfish, quirky, unconventional and idealist. They are not the perfect lovers, maybe, but they're the perfect friends you could ever conceive. I love Aquarius people. My dad is an Aquarius, a perfect living paradigm even if he doesn't like astrology and horoscopes. Funny, it isn't?
For this nail art I made a random sponging galaxy.
I started with Sally Hansen Hard as Nails base coat and then I painted my nails with China Glaze Snow (2 coats). I cutted a bath sponge in pieces and I randomly dabbed these colours:
Sinful Colors Boom Boom (magenta red), Sinful Colors Hazard (orange peach), Sinful Colors Let's Meet (yellow shimmer), Sinful Colors Innocent (green apple shimmer), Sinful Colors Sweet Nothing (pale blue crème), Revlon COLORSTAY 180 Indigo Night (indigo crème) and Deborah 7Days Long 852 (grape crème). Then I used a layer of ILNP My Private Rainbow (L) (linear holografic top coat) and with a dotting tool and China Glaze White On White (sheer white) I painted some dots, pretending they are be stars. I sealed my nail art with essence nail art sealing top coat.

La Costellazione dell'Aquario si trova tra il Capricorno ed i Pesci. L'Aquario (no, non è un errore. Parlando della Costellazione, la c va in pensione) è il Fisso d'Aria. Un Segno Fisso si trova al centro della stagione ed ha come qualità peculiare un'incrollabile volontà, stabilità e fermezza interiore. Spesso riesce ad ottenere quello che vuole, ma il rovescio della medaglia è dato dal possedere un carattere che spesso sfocia nell'eccessiva rigidità. Un Aquario è pieno di ottime qualità: razionali, innovatori, razionali, altruisti, idealisti.
Magari non saranno gli amanti ideali, ma sono di sicuro i migliori amici che si possa desiderare.
Mio padre è un Aquario (un paradigma vivente di come dovrebbe essere un Aquario, per giunta!), ma lui non ama zodiaco ed oroscopi. Anzi, non ci crede proprio! Strana la vita, vero?

Ispirandomi all'Erà dell'Aquario che stiamo tutti aspettando, ho creato una galaxy spugnando i colori in maniera casuale. Quasi alla cieca. Sono partita usando come base Sally Hansen Hard as Nails base coat. Poi ho steso due mani di China Glaze Snow. Una volta sciutto ho preso una spugna da bagno, ne ho ricavato alcuni pezzi ed ho tamponato i seguenti colori: Sinful Colors Boom Boom (rosso), Sinful Colors Hazard (arancio), Sinful Colors Let's Meet (giallo shimmer), Sinful Colors Innocent (verde mela shimmer), Sinful Colors Sweet Nothing (celeste crème), Revlon COLORSTAY 180 Indigo Night (crème indaco), Deborah 7Days Long 852 (viola uva). Ho steso una mano di ILNP My Private Rainbow (L) (un top coat olografico) e con un dotter e China Glaze White On White (bianco sheer) ho dipinto dei punti. Dovrebbero essere delle stelle. Voi chiudete un occhio, vero?
Ho sigillato tutto con essence nail art sealing top coat, che stavolta ha fatto il bravo e non ha sbavato ovunque.

I've been interested about zodiac and horoscopes since my childhood. I believe that inside of us there's a sparkle - if it's divine of if it comes from the stars doesn't matter now - and I think that stars does not determinate our lives, but give us a little ray of light to see where we put our steps.
I also love constellations and stars, and if I wasn't a dunce in maths I think I would have chosen Astrophysics.
Anyway.
Last November I'd though it would be a nice idea having a personal annual challenge in 2015. Something very close to my tastes, something very... me. For the next twelve months, on every first Monday, I'll show you a nail art themed upon Zodiac Signs. January is the month of Capricorn, the earth's cardinal. A cardinal sign it's a sign that "opens" a new season. The switch from a season to another one is also the moment which starts a cardinal sign.
