Anyway, Astra Glitter Party 03 is a deep blue based scattered holo. You could see two coats over my usual base coat, and one drop of top coat, to enhance the deepness of this lovely nail polish.

Astra Glitter Party 03 è un olografico con effetto diffuso color blu notte. Quelle che vedete sono due passate dulla mia classica base, ed un goccio di top coat, così da far risaltare la profondità del colore.
Che ne pensate?
Non dimenticate di passare a trovare le mie amiche! Sono sicura che saranno pronte a stendervi con i loro smalti olografici!

Happy Friday, ladies!
Summer holidays are around the corner and I can't wait until the countdown was over. I'll be AFK for one week at least, but no panic! I've scheduled some posts and you could easily read them under the beach umbrella, sipping your favoured drink (mine is iced tea, FYI).
The Holothon post is about an holo-top coat, this time. Oh, they said this actually IS a silver holo, but it is not. Trust me, even if I'm not a doctor.

Le vacanze estive sono dietro l'angolo e non credo riuscirò a resistere fino a domani. Starò in ferie per almeno una settimana, ma niente panico: ho programmato alcuni post che vi tengano compagnia in mia assenza, magari con una bella bibita ghiacciata accanto. A proposito. Non vi avanza mica un tè freddo?

In the past few days I rediscovered Guns'N'Roses songs and I'm still singing their greatest hits such Don't Cry and Paradise City. I'm pretty sure my neighbours are thinking I'm gonna crazy for the heatwave, but who cares? I sing in tune, at least!
Today's holo is related to an italian legend about Saint Lawrence martyrdom. Because he was burned under Valerianus persecution, in August 10th 258 AD, the meteor shower of Perseids we can see in the sky in these days are Saint Lawrence tears. And if you make a wish, maybe it will come true!

A very quick post today, because I'm very sad. Yesterday we have rescued an homeless kitten. She was appeared out of the blue in the garden, with a bad bad bad cold. We have took it at the veterinary clinic, but she doesn't make it through the night. I'm SO sad. I know we have had all that we could, but I'm still sorry for this loss.

Post telegrafico, quello di oggi, perché la tristezza ha preso il sopravvento. Abbiamo tentato di salvare un gattino randagio apparso ieri nel giardino condominiale. Aveva una brutta polmonite, così l'abbiamo portato in una clinica veterinaria, ma il suo quadro clinico era troppo compromesso. E sono triste. So che abbiamo fatto tutto il possibile, eppure...
Post telegrafico, quello di oggi, perché la tristezza ha preso il sopravvento. Abbiamo tentato di salvare un gattino randagio apparso ieri nel giardino condominiale. Speaking of holo nail polishes, my pick for today is Pupa 032 Holographic Emerald(2012), a nice emerald green linear holo. You can see two coats. The linear holo is not strong or clear as brazillian ones, but it's pretty enough for me. I used the sandwich tip, because this summer is too hot to handle and we need to avoid spots and bubbles on the surface. I didn't use Nfu Oh Aqua Base, but a matte top coat.
La mia scelta per oggi è Pupa 032 Holographic Emerald (2012) un grazioso olografico verde smeraldo ad effetto lineare, non così smaccato come nei brasiliani, anzi, direi che è piuttosto una questione di fede, ma è carino a sufficienza per la sottoscritta. Qui vedete due mani stese con la tecnica sandwich: col caldo che fa, meglio evitare qualsiavoglia problema. Ho usato un top coat matte tra una mano e l'altra.

My never-ending story with silver holos is still on the table. One of my strongest lemming is GOSH Holographic, since 2010 when I saw this photo at Lacquerized. It was an instant crush and I badly wanted it but it wasn't easy find Gosh Cosmetics here in Italy and it was not possible to find Holographic in italian stores (Heavens knows why!). I was not willing to spend too much for a single bottle of discontinued nail polish, so I screamed out loud when I discovered that GOSH have re-released Holographic a couple of years ago.

Fa un caldo belluino qui a Roma e ho paura che andrà peggiorando sempre di più! Speriamo che Luglio sia decisamente più soleggiato dello scorso anno, ché le belle giornate mi rendono allegra (anche se fiacca) e c'è busogno del sole per far brillare al meglio i nostri adorati smalti olografici!

A-England Lady of the Lake is a scattered holo with a violet base. Could you see how it's sparkling? I'm wearing two coats over my base coat (from KIKO, FYI) and the top coat. I don't wear top coat usually, 'cause I don't like add another step, but in this case it's necessary, because top coat gives deepness to scattered holos. It dries in a blink of the eye and it's simply gorgeous.
I've chosen this shade because its name: the Lady of the Lake is the fairy that abducted baby Lancelot and bringed him up until he reached 18 years old. Then, on the Saint John day, she goes along with Lancelot to the King Arthur's court (I don't remember if the court was in Tintagel or Caraduel...). Saint John Day was two days ao, and I cannot picked anything else.

C'è anche il top coat, perché i diffusi hanno bisogno di qualcosa che metta in risalto la loro profondità.

Buona domenica! L'estate è finalmente qui e solo il Cielo sa quanto io abbia bisogno di sole! Per celebrare degnamente il periodo più bello dell'anno, le mie amiche ed io abbiamo deciso di tirare fuori dal cassetto i nostri smalti olografici.
Ebbene sì, Holothon è qui ed ogni venerdì vi mitraglieremo coi nostri smalti (lineare, diffuso e glitter), perché l'estate è il momento dell'anno in cui una ragazza deve risplendere.

JADE Psicodélica is a silver based linear holo. It reminds me the silver shade of strobo lights. You'll need three coats to achieve a good opaqueness, but it dries in a blink of the eye. I suggest you to lay down this baby around an open window, because it stinks (I'm afraid it is not a 3 big free nail polish).
