Also called delphinium, Larkspur is a steam toxic for humans and livestock. His colors shift to white to purple and I've thought to replicate them over my nails. How? With a gradient. How else?

Non conoscevo questo fiore, velenoso per esseri umani ed animali (se avete dei gatti, evitatelo!), con una forma a lancia e dei fiori bellissimi che ricordano quelli delle orchidee.
Lo Speron di Cavaliere esiste in tantisisme tonalità, dal bianco al viola ed io ho deciso di usarle tutte. Come? Con una gradient, ovvio...

I started this week doin' some medical check ups (I've had too many head pain in the past ten days) and I've been busy. It's time to share with you my nail art for our monthly episode of Sailing. Are you ready? Brace yourself and remeber: do not never ever rely on what Usopp says (becose is a pathological liar...)!
Questa settimana sono stata impegnata con alcuni accertamenti medici (troppi dolori alla zucca negli ultimi dieci giorni), sicché posto in ritardo l'appuntamento con Sailing. Oggi tocca ad Usopp, perciò mi raccomando, non fidatevi mai di quello che dice (perché è un pallonaro di primissima categoria...)!
Usopp (aka Captain Usopp) is a 17 years old pathological liar. His aspect is a mix from Collodi's Pinocchio and japanese tengu. He's born on April 1st and his name means lie (Usopp from uso, lie). He's the proud son of Yasopp, a pirate from Shanks' crew, and lives with his sick mother waiting for his father's come back. He's used to say TONS of fibs, to lighten up his friend's life. He meets Rufy when the Mugiwara crew makes landfall to his island. Rufy and co help Usopp to overwhelm Kuro's pirates (they want rob and kill Usopp's best friend, Kaya), then Captain Usopp joins the crew and sails on the Going Merry (gift of Kaya). Usopp is the ship's carpenter, the artist and the inventor of the Mugiwara crew. He'll become a talented sniper, and he'll wear the mask of Sogeking (King of Sniper, Sogeking, please) during Enies Lobby's battle.
Usopp è un bugiardo patentato di diciassette anni, l'anello di congiunzione tra un Tengu e Pinocchio. Il suo nome significa bugia (uso) e di frottole ne spara a più non posso per abbellire la vita di chi gli sta attorno, a cominciare dalla mamma malata fino alla sua amica Kaya. È il figlio di Yasopp, uno dei pirati di Shanks il Rosso, e ha preso dal padre - che ha lasciato la famiglia quando Usopp era ancora piccolo - la sua grande abillità come cecchino. Incontra Rufy e soci quando questi sbarcano sulla sua isola in cerca di un carpentiere e, già che ci sono, lo aiutano a salvare Kaya dalle grinfie di Kuro, deciso a derubare ed accoppare Kaya. Come ringraziamento, ottengono la Going Merry da Kaya e Usopp prende il mare. È il carpentiere, l'inventore e l'artista del gruppo. Più avanti, ad Enies Lobby, diventerà l'imbattibile cecchino (Il Re dei Cecchini, prego) Sogeking.

Because it's made of simple poppies, Unikko is a very pretty AND easy pattern to replicate on the nails. I love make Unikko because it's quite a relaxing practice. very zen, don't you agree? And it's such an happy pattern. Yellow doesn't fit me, but I like his positives vibration. And I think it's a pretty spring-y pattern!!
Unikko è un disegno facilissimo da riprodurre. Si tratta di papaveri stilizzati, che adoro fare perché mi rilassano parecchio. Una cosa molto zen, insomma. E poi suvvia, i papaveri sono molto primaverili, non trovate? Mi spiace solo che il giallo non mi stia granché bene, ma chissene. Mi godo la sua carica di allegria e di vitalità fino all'ultima goccia!!

I think it depends. I don't like someone lies to me, but I understand that, sometimes and only if there's a true reason, fibs are necessary. For making our life much more pretty and lesser heavy, e.g.

I'm late for our weekly Finishpedia's episode, but I've been very busy yesterday so I can't have the time to arrange this post. Today we are going to explore the metallic finish. I would have shown something new, but we have had a foul wheater in the past days, I cannot take any decent shots. I chose to share with you some pictures I've taken last summer. I'm talking about Maybelline Super Stay 825 Médaille d'argent/Oh, so close! Let's take a look.

Ieri sono stata indaffaratisisma e non sono riuscita a trovare cinque minuti per sedermi davanti al pc e mettere assieme questo post. In più, a causa del tempaccio della scorsa settimana non ho potuto scattare delle foto decenti per il finish odierno. Per mia fortuna gli smalti metallici mi piacciono ed ho sempre qualcosina da parte. Lui è Maybelline Super Stay 825 Médaille d'argent/Oh, so close! - un nome più corto no?! - e le foto che vedrete oggi risalgono allo scorso Luglio. Diamo un'occhiata!
Maybelline Super Stay 825 Médaille d'argent/Oh, so close! it's a silver metallic nail polish. You can easily recognize a metallic polish by:
1) The shimmer. There's always a fine shimmer on the formula. You could distinguish between metallic and chrome by the simmer. Chrome ones haven't any shimmer at all;
2)The nuance. A metallic nail polish is easily found in metallic shades like silver, gold, bronze and so on, but you could find also green ones, or pink, or purple or blue;
3) The brushstrokes. Not so evident like on frost ones, the metallic nail polishes have some brushstrokes, but I say it's because the formula and the brush itself. Maybelline has a big brush - like a decorator's paintbrush - but the bristles are cutted to reduce the strokes. I love it!
I've used two coats and no top coat. I love metallic finish because its shiny look, and my favorite ones are the silvery nuances. I think I have been a magpie once...

Maybelline Super Stay 825 Médaille d'argent/Oh, so close! è uno smalto metallico di color argento. Come si riconosce uno smalto metallico, in generale?
1) Dallo shimmer - finissimo - che si trova nella formula dei metallici. Gli smalti cromati, a differenza dei metallici, non hanno alcuno shimmer all'interno. E lo shimmer fa sì che voi possiate differenziare un metallico da un frost e che esistano smalti metallici pure se non in colori propriamente metallici;
2)Dal colore. Le gradazioni spaziano dall'argento all'oro, al platino, bronzo, rame e via discorrendo, anche se è possibile trovare metallici blu, nero, viola, verdi eccetera;
3) Dai segni delle pennellate. Questo dipende dalla formulazione dello smalto - cosa che varia marca per marca, ma anche collezione per collezione - E dal pennello. La Maybelline ha optato per dei pennelli larghi, simili a pennellesse, che però aiutano a ridurre i segni del loro passaggio.
Quelle che vedete sono due mani di colore, senza top coat.
Personalmente, sono attratta dai metallici per il loro riflesso freddo e d'estate amo sfoggiare l'argento, pure se non mi abbronzo nemmeno a pagare!

Saint Seiya is a mainstream anime series I love since the first italian release, in 1990. It's the story of a treason, a sacrifice and a fight for Athena, goddes of peace and justice -sic!! - (I must say out loud that the creator was just blessed having the core idea...). The movies will be on movie theaters tomorrow, but it has been released last July, 21 in Japan and East Asia. I must confess I'm a little bit worried about this movie's story, because the Sanctuary arc, the first chapter, has been rearranged in many ways (a male character is now a lady...), and because the translaters decided to use the italian names (they 'translate' character's names in early '90's, to make them more dishy and much more mythology referred).
Anyway, I think I'll see this movie. I saw Captain Harlock last January and it was gorgeous (even the story was a little bit meh). Cross fingers for me, ok?
I have some time to kill and for each of my nails I made a galaxy for the five main characters (I willingly ignored Saori); and because I've used a gazillion of products, let's this post started!
