Do you remember our Finishpedia's episode about jellies? The finish, not the candies. I've shown you the most problematic jelly in the galaxy (and maybe in this universe), China Glaze Keepin' It Teal. Because I hate throw in the towel, I recalled a technique to use this rebel polish, the pond manicure.
Ricordate la puntata della Finishpedia dedicata a gli smalti jelly? Certo che sì. Come non ricordare il flop clamoroso che è stato Keepin'It Teal di China Glaze? Siccome sono tignosa, pensa che ti ripensa, mi sono ricordata di una tecnica che prevede proprio l'uso dei jelly, la pond manicure. Dai che portiamo a casa anche questa giornata!
Pond manicure is a step by step oh, baby, gonna get to you, girl technique, very easy and funny, like a lasagna recipe. There's a tons of tutorial in the internet. I followed this tutorial. After your base coat, lay down one coat of your jelly polish. Mine was China Glaze Keepin' It Teal. Then, make some random dots or a flower shape with a white nail polish. Mine was Shaka Cherry Petals. You must wait for your white dots are dry, repeat the process untill you're satisfied. Do not forget the parmigiano cheese top coat!
La pond manicure è una tecnica step by step oh, baby, gonna get to you, girl, di una facilità imbarazzante, come comporre una lasagna. In rete c'è una quantità smodata di tutorial, io ho seguito questo qui. Ho steso la mia base ed una prima mano di China Glaze Keepin' It Teal. Poi, con un dotting tool ed uno smalto bianco (Shaka Cherry Petals) ho disegnato dei pois. Ho aspettato che fossero asciutti ed ho passato un secondo strato dello smalto jelly e ho ripetuto per altre due volte. Ho sigillato con una spolverata di parmigiano top coat e via.
Next time I'll draw some flowers shapes, under the jelly coat. Or, maybe, some waterlilies.
